Sticking hydro pedal

I guess I disagree, I think it should dependably return to a neutral position, the two pedal set up on my DK does, every single time. And I think it's a safety issue as well, my beaten up wood shed would probably agree.
I had the exact same experience as described above. Kioti asked my dealer for pressure readings from those ports. I also had a hydraulic leak. I asked my dealer what the pressure was supposed to be and he too said he didn't know, Kioti wouldn't tell him, but the other tractors he'd seen with the problem all had similar readings. He said he thought the pressure was to low.

Exactly. Every hydro machine I have owned , New Holland, Kubota, and now Kioti has perfectly returned to neutral when your foot release's the pedal/pedals. This is how I expect them to work.

I plow and work on steep hills with large drop offs in places if it wasn't for the fact I was experienced with HST drive I would have went over a few hundred ft. the first time it stuck. It takes time to get use to a new tractor getting your foot from the front to the back of the peddle. I would have to give it quite a push then it would stop the tractor dead. We used one of my gauges and I'm not sure I remember exactly but the forward port was around 4200 psi and the reverse 28-3200 psi what ever it was must have been wrong. My case tractor with HST 3 speeds in 3 ranges worked flawless for 3700 hrs.It started creeping at 3,000 hrs.and I was able to fix it with new bushings in the linkage.

So does anyone know where to go to find out what the pressure readings should be at the ports in question? Does Kioti have a site on the net that provides answers to service related questions? Like I've said, I have the service manual but it is really not that great for a number of things, this being one. You guys seem to be some of the only help out there. In order for me to get the tractor to a dealer it is going to take considerable time and dollars, I live south of Portland, Oregon and the nearest dealer is up in Longview, Washington.

Try MIE. Michigan Iron & Equipment, one of our best dealers for all Kioti issues, sales, custom fabrication, etc.
Error
Bob or his son, Tony can help you get what you need to know. Tell him I sent you..... I've bought a bunch of stuff from him over the years.
They're approved advertisers for/on TBN too.

Thanks so much! I will give them a try.

halfbottle maybe ask them if you buy a gauge ( 5,000 psi gauge is needed) the procedure for doing the test & take a picture of the reading on each port & send it to them if it would be of benefit. That is what we did with mine. Then the dealer sent it to Kioti.

Thanks Billrog, is there anything particularly special about the gauge?

halfbottle I don't think so I bought it a long time ago to test some pressures on an old backhoe. If you phone a dealer he may know the thread size for the ports sorry I never paid attention to their size or the exact procedure. I think we ran the machine ate 2600 rpm in neutral and pressed the hst pedal forward for one port and back for the other but the dealer will be able to tell you exactly.
If it takes a special gauge maybe somebody here that actually knows hydraulics will be able to tell you better than me a trail and error guy.All I know is mine is glycerin filled and worked because the dealers gauge only went to 4,000 psi.
