Sticking hydro pedal

Highbeam, I absolutely agree and use my parking break all the time. The safety issue comes when you're using the tractor and it doesn't stop as you would expect. That alone is an issue, but so is an over compensating when you hit reverse too hard to stop it. Mine got so bad it became difficult to control properly and would continue as if your foot was to the floor for 20-30 feet before it would even think about slowing down. I'm betting it would have continued creeping 600 ft + before stopping altogether, if it ever did.

Being aware of the issue means it's probably not going to lead to an accident, but with other people using the tractor or using the tractor with kids around, I wasn't willing to take even the slightest risk. Being covered by warranty probably helped my resolve and I'm not sure what I would have done if my dealer told me I had to pay $3000 fix the problem and it wasn't covered.

How many hours have you put on your tractor since it was fixed?

My tractor shuts off if you get off with out the parking break locked. I also always lower the loader and the 3 point hitch if the implement is attached with the parking brake locked.

Wow, I didn't know about that difference with the Bobcat version, either mine is broken :thumbsup: or Kioti doesn't have a dead man switch. For safety, it's a good thing, but it would have been one of the first mods I would have made if I had one.

I guess that's one positive for my manual shuttle gearbox: If I put any of the three shifters in neutral, it's really in neutral.

Wow, I think most of us that have had pedal issues are not having the pedal stick at full speed ahead. That is more serious. Rather, the pedal is not getting perfectly in neutral and then will keep moving or creeping ahead instead of a dead stop. I would prefer that the machine be stopped when the pedal isn't being pushed forward or back but I do not see the creep as a failure of anything. You'll notice that the controls show R-N-F not R-P-F, the neutral position is not a parked position.

If you want the machine to stay put, then apply the controls designed to make the tractor stay put.

Runaway tractors are unsafe and Ken's machine needed to be fixed.

My Kioti CK25HST pedal was extremely stiff and would not return to center. The dealer suggested I spray penetrating oil on the pedal shaft where it enters tranny housing and work it back and forth over the course of a day. This has worked but the pedal is still a little stiff and does not want to freely return to center/neutral position. I will continue to work some more oil into it. BTW- this problem seemed to develop while the tractor sat unused over the winter, rust/dirt/moisture is the likely culprit.

My friend started to notice this problem today. Before buying parts I suggested we check with you all.

The fix for me was another tractor. Bobcat replaced the pedal dampner 2 times, adjusted the pedal, lubed It numerous times, cleaned the neutral springs, replaced the neutral springs with a set out of a new tractor of the showroom floor and they cut the hydro filter apart and did a oil analysis. None of that helped and the oil analysis came back okay. They wanted to replace the hydro with one that was just like the one in the tractor. They could not tell me what in the hydro was causing the problem. If they would have I could have told me what was wrong with the hydro I would have done it.

There is also a ways to check the oil in the pedal dampner but I don't know how and it is not mentioned in the owners manual.

I own a 08 Kioti CK35. I wrote in the forum on this subject a few months ago. So I took the advice of one member and tried spraying lube on the shaft leading into the tranny, but that didn't do anything. I'm starting to think this should be a recall issue, obviously this is far from a isolated issue. my tractor creeps forward when I let off on the pedal, but comes back normally in reverse. How much did it cost you guys that replaced the HST. This is a problem that I have not found a solution to and I would hate to dish out the cash to fix the HST.

That's alot of money to fix a problem that I feel is Kioti's problem. To many tractors out there with this issue. Have not received any notices from Kioti yet.
