Sticking gas pedal

1999 3010 GST 260 hrs. My problem is a sticking gas pedal. Every time I use the tractor I have to spray the linkage with wd 40. Does anyone know what I can do to stop this?

Take it back to the dealer! Now! Tell them exchange for one with a diesel pedal /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Seriously though... Check the linkage for bends. If it is tweaked slightly, it would cause that. Also, check the whole linkage path to make sure it isn't rubbing a piece of sheetmetal, or engine, or frame. Check each linkage connection point to ensure it is clean, and that bushings are clean and are still there, if applicable.

One thing to look at too, is to make sure all the linkage is clean. If you spray lube on it(ie wd40, ect), it will attract dirt and stuff, which will cause it to jam up again.
