My 2004 Jinma 284HD does something strange. I’m not sure if it’s actually a problem or not.

The steering functions perfectly with one exception, the steering wheel never returns to its original position.

If I start out with the horn logo in the upright position (wheels straight ahead), after driving a bit, the logo will be left, right or upside down from its original position.

The steering wheel isn’t loose and the horn cover (logo) isn’t spinning as it’s triangular in shape.

My concern is that there is a problem in the power steering which will get worse with time.

Hopefully, I'm not repeating a previous post, I did a search and couldn't find this topic.

Thanks for your time and comments.

Very typical. The steering is purely hydraulic, some have used the word hydrostatic. If it wasn't for the mechanical stops, the steering wheel would spin forever. Whereas the fact that it doesn't center may be annoying, but it's mechanically inconsequential. Look out though for a steering wheel that keeps turning after the front wheels hit the mechanical stops. That usually points to a seal problem, either in the steering cylinder or (less often) in the steering controller.
