I really love reading the comments by those "hindsight fortune tellers" slapping themselves on the back about how smart they were for proclaiming their ex post facto foresight and ***** slapping the people who didn't have their backwards looking foresight. When I grow up I sure do hope I am as smart as them. ;)

I am still talking to one of the employees who was still there until the very last day of normal operations, and basically EA is still in the same boat, not shipping any orders and no employees there to manufacture new equipment. I do not have a picture, but that employee confirmed the only people who MIGHT be there are Ted and Nate. All sales, warehouse, accounting and otherwise are gone and not coming back. Again, I apologize for not having a picture or definitive proof, but they are 100% out of business. I saw (or more specifically heard, a recorded conversation with Ted) on the "After EA" Facebook Ted was claiming they only accept checks, and they haven't accepted payment up front in 6-8 weeks (FALSE). Please feel free to follow up with more specific questions, and I will be happy to share.
Thank you. They did have an awesome aerator I ordered so pretty bummed. Just need to find another that is similar. And hope I get my $3K back from CC dispute.

I can’t help but wonder if Travis was let go because he wasn’t happy with what EA was doing as he was always very responsive and provided great customer service. And also wonder if Nate’s emails to customers including myself in January that our products are about to ship was a scam to continue the farce, or was he blind-sided as well.

What was Ted thinking letting a great business fail.

I'm guessing he was referring to the "There's a sucker born every minute!" quote from ol PTB.

I agree that is what he meant.

I was trying to be funny as the quote I found was the exact opposite.

By the way, the sucker quote has never actually been verified to have been uttered first by PT Barnum. It’s urban legend.

It will take a while fort his to play out. I hope that one way or another all the customers will be ade whole.

What are the range of outcomes that could happen next?

  • EA reorganizes under Chapter 11 and continues t operate
    • Lessons are learned and a new Management team makes EA bigger and better
    • But it is badly damaged and becomes much diminished
    • Or it is beyond saving and closes for good
  • It rises from the ashes as an employee owned company (highly unlikely)
  • A Venture Capital group buys it and rebuilds the brand (not sure there is enough for a bleeds it dry option)
  • An attachment competitor buys it out (Rhino, Bush Hog, Woods, etc.)
  • A CUT OEM buys them out (TYM, LS. ...)
  • Or ????

The hand wringing seems to be self perpetuating by those who refused to follow up on their orders and get out while they could dispute the CC charges and get their money back.

This screams of ponzi.
We moved to our remote property with our very nice 5th wheel RV, while having a contractor and architect drawing up plans for our dream house, but power was unavailable without a building permit. So, researching options, I found a hybrid solar trailer that had huge forklift batteries, 2 6400w inverters, MidNite solar PV charger/power supply, and an 11K Kubota generator to fill in when the sun ain't shining, at less than half the cost of utility power. We're in Oregon, so lack of sun's real common in Winter. It was large enough to (barely) power the house we were going to build, but would have sufficed for a while.
The link is to an article how a Joe Shmoe auto mechanic utilised government handouts to large corporations for going "Green", even though the product was unrelated to their industry, and duped the Gov and major investors into his scheme.
That little lake villa of Ted's ain't **** compared to Jeff's DC Solar's party time.
Patrick
P.S. COVID prices made the dream home a no go. The power trailer's serving us well.

Sounds a little like victim blaming. They have had a stellar reputation for many years...and many of us followed up regularly with hollow promises. Promises we believed by people who had previously provided excellent customer service to the point there was a level of trust, even if misplaced. A lot of very smart people have lost money with reputable businesses going under, doesn't make them the ones to blame. I think it would be nice that if you don't have value to add, maybe not comment...because your victim blaming truly does not add any value whatsoever to this situation.

Just last week I listened to a podcast regarding this guy/company. If he had been reputable and followed thru with promises he made, it sounds like it would have been a good company. But no....he was a scumbag.

I am NOT excusing the guy, but it sounds like he got into drugs. That will screw you up. And a guy that wealthy is not just sucking on a joint occasionally.

The company is done. They have little or no intellectual property to make them of value to an investor.

If the stories about the new building are true, it has reduced value.

Thought I would provide a follow up...even though I got an email on Friday with an updated shipment address, there is still no tracking number so I assume no shipping. My CC company did credit my account this morning which is good. I tried to call EA this morning to discuss, but got routed to the full mailbox. I then sent an email to Ted, at ted@(Temporarily blocked due to reports of company closure) since that is the email used to send me the order info. I explained things from my perspective and suggested that if the item was still on site he should just go ahead and cancel it. Unless there is an update, I will leave it at that. What a frustrating experience as a customer!
It just gets weirder and weirder. I just got an email from nate@everythingattachments.com thanking me for my recent purchase and asking for feedback at some link that I dare not click on. Still no tracking number, although I wonder what I should do if I get a call from the shipping company saying it is in? Refuse to take it? Has anybody received their order in the last few weeks?

You are correct to be very careful. This whole situation is perfect for scammers given the zero communication by the company.

I have sent multiple emails to Nate since the first of the month with zero response.

It seems to me the website should at least explain they are not taking orders at this time. There are many people ordering unaware of what's going on.
The latest BBB post was someone paying in October not receiving their product, no communication, etc.

The bank likely owns both of their facilities old and new. They had some people with some great ideas on how to build and improve on tractor implements and I have never heard a complaint about their quality. I wonder if they patented any of their ideas.
I just watched a video, made about a year ago, with Ted showing off the attributes of a seven foot landplane. Particularly interesting were the scarifiers, both in the design of the scarifier and the adjustment. Some things I liked about unit as a whole, some things I thought were a bit old school. The price was about 50% higher than the unit I did buy. Quite frankly, my thought was, why does a landplane need to built like a tank, I'm not using it to clear land mines. It never really has that big of a load on it.
Incidentally, I noticed that the video was filmed inside the vacant apparently completed new building.

What, they don't have adequate cyber security built into their website?

Thanks for the info. Do you have any new updates maybe from recent or current employees you knew while working there? Are you close enough to do a drive-by this week and see if there is any movement or action? At this point, this thread needs real facts and pictures so anything you can provide is greatly appreciated. Thanks again.
So I have continued to monitor the Facebook account "What happened to Everything Attachments" and these pictures were posted. Seems like confirmation of what I have said from my first post.

It's almost begging for some scammer to hack them for email addresses and then send out emails to the effect of:

" So sorry for the delays in shipping. If you would please go to Walmart and purchase $500 worth of gift cards and send them to us, and we will promptly ship your item. We will then credit back $500 to your original method of purchase.

Thanks so much,
Ted"

I am not suggesting they will do that, just that it is the ideal scam to send to desperate people.

Thank you very much. Let's see what the Catawba DA does about this, although our loss is likely civil, his actions need an investigation. Don't know if this was bad management and then a complete collapse, or did he plan this for a while? Seems like the latter by getting rid of Travis in December, etc.

You know it's bad when NC locals are doing a WELFARE check!
It's better than "Days of our Lives" or "The Bald and the Beautiful".

Edit: I thought wellness check, but welfare check is correct also!
