When I open a thread it just takes me wherever, why doesn't it start on the first post of the thread?
This is the only forum I ever been on that does that, what setting can I change to resolve this problem?

It's a PITA if I click on a thread and it takes me to the 20th post.

Thanks

We're actually going to fix that... soon. I'll try to get to it tomorrow.

There are many features here that are superior to other tractor sites. Posting photos is much more straight forward.

OK, thanks,
I thought maybe there was something on my end that needed to be changed.

Ok, this has been changed. Now, to go to the first post, click the red "new" to the left of the thread title.

A good feature, I guess. But I prefer it not be a red box. Just a white background would be much less distracting while browsing the thread titles.

What I would like to see in that box instead of the word NEW, is the date the thread was started. More informative to me, if it was recently started with 3 or more pages of replies, or if it was started a long time ago and had many replies. Clicking on that date would take the reader to the beginning of the thread, just as the NEW box does now. :)

The one issue I find to be a pain is when you click on a photo for a closer look ... and then hit the back button to go to the post .... it always takes me back to the start of the thread. Anyone else ?

Unless you have already read the first 19 posts in the thread, in which case it is very handy.

As an example, this thread: 92 3500 or 90 350 has 156 posts and I am subscribed to it. If I am in my list of subscribed threads and I just click on the link, it takes me to post 1, rather than taking me to first unread post (this one last time I checked). I really dislike having to remember to click on the little arrow, especially in a long thread that I am subscribed to and have read the first part of.

We have changed this back to the way it was due to a lot of complaints coming in... we will look at a user option to switch it based on your preference.
