So recently my tractor has had issues starting. Been reading posts and playing around with it .
When I turn the key if I hear a soft click and a hard click and let the glow plugs cycle it will start right up. If only a soft click it will crank but no start.
Been playing around with it and tonight I sprayed brake clean and lubes in the key hole and was getting two clicks again. I know if I get two clicks it will start.
Should I pull the key switch/ ignition out and try to clean it out good or just keep spraying 💩 in there ??
I was thinking relay or engine stop solenoid but if spraying the key hole is making a difference perhaps not??

Replace the key switch with new OEM, if you’re sure that’s the problem.
You could Keep the old one and clean it up. Now you have a spare…

I had a similar issue with my 2005 CK25 several years ago shot a heavy dose of WD 40, it’s been fine ever since!!!👍🏻

On my previous CK20 I removed, took apart and cleaned the switch which I think will be the same as yours. Just be careful of springs and little balls coming out when you open it up! If you're careful it's not that terrible a job to do. If squirting wd40 makes a difference right away then I'd definitely take the switch apart and clean it. you'll find it's a mess in there.
That aside, my current CK2510 I thought was also having ignition switch issues (same kind of random start/no start-with crank situation) and that turned out to be a relay issue. The relays used are standard and very cheap to buy. One symptom I learnt from that process is when the fuel shut-off soleniod isn't operating as expected when the engine cranks over I saw no exhaust smoke at all - because no fuel was going to the engine. So clear indicator in my case that there was an issue with that circuit. In another test with the glow circuit disabled and the fuel shut-off circuit working the engine would crank and I'd be getting white smoke starting to whisp out the exhaust. Cold engine so that showed the glow circuit issue but it was getting fuel. The best answer is a tester so you can see if the relay's are being sent a signal by the ignition switch.
I guess what I'm saying is that while your situation could very well be the switch (if squirting wd40 etc into makes a difference right away then likely is the issue.) I found mine was a relay that was equally causing random start issues. It seems a relay can slowly start to fail.
Good luck!
E.
