Most starters I've seen for this engine are not gear reduction type

Ok cool i'll have a look . I've found out one of the sleeves is leaking so might have to replace . New one is around 23 euros , i've seen a trick where someone gets a small screw driver and hammers down along the sleeve but to put a new one in it's freezing it but how cold does it have to be to just slip in ?

Ok right night , i thought i would try it again with the cylinders and so i put vinegar in them , and for some reason all but one stayed full . does that mean theyre all right after all ?

Not sure why you would use vinegar and why 3 of 4 don't leak. Unless the cylinder has a hole/crack, it should not leak. It also shouldn't move, but it is kept in place by the head.

i used vinegar cause i didn't have diesel and didn't want to use water , there not holes or cracks .
