I got a little bored today before I went to work so I started building basically a cover for the front of my tractor. Its made from 11ga material (a little over 1/8th) and I CNC plasma cut it out on my table. I intend to make it bolt directly to the factory brush bar. Hopefully this will give me a little more protection against unruly branches. This is on my 2003 4310.

That gaurd looks mint, except one detail. You really should install metal mesh (I want to say it was called expanded mesh?) over the lights. Take it from someone who now knows what a new light assembly costs.

I agree with Wolfy, put the expanded metal in the openings for the lights. You will never regret it. Very nice job on the plasma work!

Nice! What plasma table are you using?
Thanks, I cut it out on a Torchmate 2x4 that I am getting ready to upgrade to 4x4.
Welcome!

I Would sell just the cut out plate, as long as those who purchased realized that there may be some slight finish work(grinding to shape) to fitting it to your exact brush bar. When I fitted this up to mine I was ASTONISHED at the amount of out-of-sqaureness I had with the OEM brush bar. Most of its not even welded straight.

I thought about this, but I did not have anything on hand to add at the time.

Can you post the dimensions please? What tractor do you have?

Oh sure, my wife has always wanted a plasma cutter and I think your work has tipped her over the edge, thanks. Very nice!
