I do this all the time. When the initial contract runs out call and say you want to cancel. They will reduce the price for a period of time. Repeat when that time frame runs out.I’ve had StarLink for 4 months now. Very pleased. I called Windstream yesterday to cancel the all-in $105/month decent 12 Mbps DSL service. Windstream customer retention lady offered me a year at $55 including fees/taxes a month to stay with them. Pizzed me off. I‘ve run into this cr@p before with insurance carriers, SirusXM, and others. A way to save some $$$ if you want to play their game.
I go through the dance every year with SiriusXM. I have 5 subscriptions and get them for $6ea month instead of $18mo. I call and tell them to cancel if they won't give me that rate. They've always dropped the rate.
Why so many subscriptions?
Can you have more than one vehicle on a SiriusXM account? I have one on my truck and wifie has one on her Yukon. Two different numbers.
I had a XM account, wife had a Sirius account. After the companies merged, the accounts where combined in 2013.
We have 3 vehicles used regularly and two retail stores where the local radio stations aren't suitable for customers. Ch. 17 The Bridge is what I use for stores, easy listening rock.
Yeah, I have to go thru that BS every year with my wife's car. If it were up to me I'd just cancel it and be done but I'd never hear the end of it if I did.
I kept a subscription for my main daily driver, plus a subscription on a "boom box" so I have music anywhere-- even with no wifi in a forest.

I highly recommend getting the pipe adapter from Starlink. It comes with several different size set screws and will fit just about any size pole. It also comes with a nice bag to carry the dish in while climbing a ladder. Also has a box of cable anchors to install the cable.Do any of you have the dish still in the box, or on the ground and a pair of calipers?

doesn't matter what router your using. if you don't want to bypass, just plug into the wan port on the usg, and make sure the subnets don't overlap. its double nat, but they are giving out cgnat, so it doesn't matter for 99% of people
try rebooting the usg after plugging in the SL
