At some point, they will likely have to put some limits on "abusers". I cant imagine my usage would hit their limits, if they did impose something. We don't "need" to stream everything we watch in 4K.
If we did hit some future limit, and they throttled our throughput, I cant imagine any throttling they would do would cut us down to lower than what we have with our old 7/1 DSL line. Our DSL typically actually delivers 5-6 down and 0.7-0.8 up - when it's working, and it was unreliable. (We were sometimes calling the provider multiple times per month to send out a tech to correct problems in the line.)
On Starlink I'm getting 100+ down (usually 120-150) and generally close to 20 Mbps upload speeds (ranging from 15-23, sometimes higher). Even if they imposed throttling to 10% of the speeds I'm normally getting now, that would still be substantially faster than what I was getting on DSL, and so far (one month of usage), it has proven far more reliable.
