I've used my backhoe a fair amount, about 20-25 hours, and have always greased it dilligently. For the last several hours I have been hearing a loud squeak while operating it. At first it was only occasionally but eventually it became more regular. I was freaking out that I had somehow missed a zirc or had a clogged one and was ruining my nice backhoe. Then one day I tried moving the backhoe levers with the tractor off and I was still getting the squeak. It turned out to be an easy fix. I took off the shroud behind the backhoe levers, the one that says BT 601 in silver letters. Then I just applied some grease to the brass pushrods where they passed through a brass guide near the top linkage. You can kind of make out the the grease in the photo. Easy fix. My tractor has spent several days in the rain this spring, so I'm not sure if some rain got in there and washed away whatever grease was in there.
