Looking
I'm building a monster splitter. 5" 36 inch stroke cylinder, etc. Found a Vanguard v-Twin motor on Craigslist for 300 bucks. It's off a roof cutter, sounds like it might fit the bill except it's horizontal shaft. I haven't sat down to figure out the engineering on this yet - do any of you guys see an obvious problem with fitting a horizontal shaft motor to a splitter? Thanks, I appreciate the help.

My northstar splitter has a horizontal shaft.

The speedco has a vertical shaft.

I deleted my earlier post as I had my vertical and horizontal mixed up.
