I have a 3 PT splitter (Kelley) I am finally going to weld up and on a small cradle for the I beam .I was wondering peoples opinions on having it extend past the splitting wedge.(stationary wedge) on the end of the I beam??
Is it helpful or not?

The 'crane' is just a pile of scrape at the moment but ill get into that at a later date.Plan to use an old auto front wheel drive rotor head to spin the crane on.Electric winch to do the lifting.(low budget)Also is anyone has pics of either please post them here if you can
thanks
