Spindle replacements for John Deere X380

Before retirement I was an engineer on this product. The Select Series premium spec'd decks have 20mm spindles with open bearings (NTN probably) with separate seals. Greasing the spindles DOES reach the bearings. The spindles are certainly rebuildable.

Don't confuse this with the 100 Series mass channel product (Greeneville TN) with 17mm spindles and sealed bearings. Greasing those spindles doesn't directly reach the bearings but fills the spindle cavity. This does help seal the cavity from condensation and pressure washers though.

So I have a 2023 X390. How often should I grease the spindles? And how many pumps (standard gun) each time?

Ha... I've been retired 9 years. I dont remember. What does the owners manual say?

I grease the spindles on my GX335 once every Spring (but I only mow about 25hrs/yr).

A couple pumps a couple times a mowing season, which is about 50 hours per summer. Does not need a lot.
