Speed Control Problem

Mine seem to only do it when I am headed UP hill under load

I had the same thing happening. The pedals only seemed to stick going up hill. I greased the fittings on the pedals and haven't had it happen again. If it does, I'll look into adjusting the spring.

I don't think the cruise is supposed to work in reverse. You may want to check the air gap between the cruise control electro magnet and the plate. If it is too close, it can bind the forward control pedal so the tractor may not stop.

I crawled under the tractor to check out the electro magnet clearance and notice that the plate only half covers the magnet when the reverse pedal is depressed while it fully covers the magnet when the forward pedal is depressed. As a result, I'm curious if everyone has the same problem that I do....?????? Next time you all get a chance, set your cruise while backing up a slight incline under load.......does you tractor hold speed?
