Southernmfg bushhog oil seal replacement

As others have said, get ID of seal location in gear box housing and OD of the shaft also depth of seal housing........ Inexpensive digital calipers should be accurate enough....

Take numbers to good bearing supply house.... OR spend some time online (MCMASTER?)

WranglerX I agree with you 100 percent. That is a fool proof way. But my point is Tractor supply employees are not in tune with us who use this equipment. And you would be wasting your time to show them this.

Tractor supply needs help. Nobody in the ones near me know where or what anything is. Pitiful I tell you
I wouldn't even bother with TSC for a seal. Every town has a bearings and drives place. Their name will usually include "bearings" or "drives", or "gears". Here's mine: Frank Callahan Co., Inc. Colmar Branch Page

Now go find yours! These guys will take one look at your old seal, double check with your measurements, and give you the right part... all likely under $15.
