Had a 3-axle dump truck worth of #57 gravel delivered to fill in some drainage problems and for eventual use when I redo the culvert drains on my little bit of acreage.

Got in 2 good hours of seat time moving/spreading gravel Friday afternoon. Was pretty proud of what I'd accomplished. Woke up Saturday morning and my daggone right hip was so sore that I definitely qualified for the "got a hitch in my get-along" club! Took me an hour or so to figure out why, but it eventually dawned on my that it was sore from running the hydraulic shift.

Anyone else ever had this happen to 'em?? Is the HST adjustable in regards to the amount of pressure it takes to engage it?? The good thing from this is that I'm now marginally competent with my FEL! :D

Any info/advice would be appreciated!

The only thing that can make a difference is the position of your seat. Too close or too far away and it can make it more tiring than it should be. I've often run my B3200 8hrs a day doing loader work and don't feel any worse for the wear.

OK, thanks for the info! Will move the seat around and see if I can find the sweet spot...

Have had the same symptoms if I'm doing a lot of backing up with my body rotated in the seat while pushing down on the reverse pedal. Only happened a few times when running in reverse a lot. I may try the seat position change too if it recurs.

Do grease your pedal often enough?
My exBX25 never bothered me. Very comfortable to operate.
The b2620 will cause some stiffness in right leg when operated for several hours.
I think the BX was more comfortable.:D

If the HST pedal is stiff, you need to lube it if you haven't. Otherwise when operating take care how much pressure you are exerting as sometimes when concentrating you may tense up or use more pressure than needed. You may also try alternating looking over your right and left shoulder if you can to cut down on the fatigue.

Brand new (less than 10 hours) BX, maybe that got missed during the pre-delivery prep?? Will check it out, thanks for the idea!

Is there a zerk fitting for that, or is it just a linkage spray down??

The zirk is under a little flap in the rubber cover - look carefully near the pedals. You may need a flat head screwdriver to pry it up.

Did you get on and off the tractor a lot? It may be that not the pedal

One other thing -
Did you have a wallet or something in your back pocket? I've had that cause problems and switched to Poppers cargo style pants, with most "stuff" going into the cargos. Even slip my 10 inch netbook into them.
