Aye, it's not a life altering event, it's just been a long week.
I've had em and know exactly where you are coming from, I guess it works out that way to offset the weeks when it seemed like I could do no wrong.

Sounds to me like a new fuel tank is in order. I know they aren't cheap or at least I presume they aren't. When I was at my dealer last week, my Kubota tech was replacing a blow molded plastic fuel tank on a Case ag tractor and he said, guess how much and I replied 500 bucks. He said guess again... $1300 bucks for the tank. I said it's just a piece of plastic and he replied 'Case is proud of their parts'.

Little mistake that they (company) will have to eat.

Ouch, that's rough, but not surprising; there was a post not long back of a fellow who needed a new top link for his Massey and if I remember right AGCO wanted something like $600. That's not an exact figure because my memory is not that good, but it was quite expensive. Seemed to knock OP out of his socks, and had him looking aftermarket.

This ought to be covered under warranty, but I didn't want or expect this headache. 😂

Now if I could just convince a manufacturer to produce the exact tractor I want, lol.

I'm curious--Why would they put a fuel tank back there anyway? Perhaps to protect the driver from shrapnel coming off a cutter or something?

All it takes is a little carelessness by the welder when doing the assembly to cause issues.
He said he bent it away from the tank…which makes me wonder if the 3pt pushed it into/through the tank. I’ve bent those things more than once but they’re attached to pretty solid chunks of steel on my tractors.

Pretty common on that size tractor, not much room anywhere else because they’ve got to keep ground clearance, mid mount PTO access, center of gravity, etc. all working.

As usual, you missed the joke.

Ayuh, that would have happened had the dealer not closed at 1... 🤬😂

So I wait until Monday.
A little inspection by the owner would have seen this also..dealers just want get the product out the door...don't trust them. I bought a new jd gator..had it delivered..I took out my rather long drive for the first ride..both front tires fell off..both bearing nuts never snugged up..and no pin in them. Now this crap here is uncalled for. I called dealer..he fired the guy who assembled it.

You're not wrong. It just never clicked to check for such a thing.

Now having your wheels fall off, that's straight-up unacceptable.
