After waiting forever I finally got my raise but I wasn't happy. I was insulted actually. They offered a token raise of less than $20/wk. The owner of the company happened to walk by me yesterday just after I started work. He asked how I was doing and I told him I was insulted by having to wait forever for a measly raise. He said he would schedule a meeting with the managers and myself to discuss it. The GM is a tool. He actually made a comment that I don't generate sales(the outside salesmen do). We sell over $100,000 a month to walk ins and process all the outside sales as well. Technically the GM and 75% of the people working there don't generate sales either. Anyway, the owner said maybe they need to re-evaluate my salary. Today I got an employment contract outlining my job duties and my raise was more than doubled :cool2: so I'm a happy camper. The owner and the sales manager both said I was great asset to the company. The sales manager did say I was very strong technically. Being appreciated makes you want to do a better job. Being overlooked doesn't give you much motivation.

They can sale all they want, but if they don't have someone in the back doing quality work soon they wont have buyers. I'd say you are the reason they have something to sale! In essence you are worth more than they are IMO:thumbsup:

A team cant accomplish anything without each member doing their part. Everyone is necessary and valuable... but at the same time everyone doesnt get the same wage.

Glad you spoke up. The owner is probably glad too.

Nothing an employer likes better than a worker who's worth more than his salary and benefits.
