Could just be some local kids/lovers looking for somewhere quiet to canoodle, and they may not be aware they are bothering you. Kids can be a bit dense like that. I know I was.

I had ppl driving through a part of my field as a scenic tour so I put in two posts with a nail at the top, then hooked a chain over the nail on each post and put on some reflective tape to make it visible at night. The chain can just be lifted off the nail so we can get in and hay, etc, but now that ppl are aware that I would prefer they not drive through in the field, they don't.

Costs you nothing to just make it known the field is off limits. Then if they don't respect that, you can move onto something like a trail cam to find out who it is.

there are trail cams that send emails/text messages to you phone.....do a search...

I suggest a "no cost" approach to begin with. My entrance drive is tarmac (absolutely unheard of in these parts) and shows on some GPS systems. The previous owner had it done as part compensation in a road widening scheme when they upgraded the main road to a National Highway.

We used to get frequent unwanted traffic. The road stops at the house 300m from the Highway. I even had somebody get me to look at her GPS to show me where she turned right along the river. It was my patio. A simple wire across and hooked at one end and threaded through some short pieces of drainage pipe has stopped everybody except those that need to be here. The only problem is getting people to remember to put it back up again. If not, we soon know about it when an unwanted visitor comes in.

I use a Dakota Alert on my driveway and it works great, with several models that will transmit a long way, customer service was great too.

I have one of the MURS units, and can highly recommend it. Had it now for many years. Have both the magnetic sensor ( buried in the road ) as well as a couple of the motion sensors. The range on them is fantastic....they claim several miles, and I don't doubt it, though mine is only about 1/2 mile. Only downside is get yourself a BUNCH of AA batteries.....it takes 6 per sensor, and they only last about 6 months.

Nice thing about the Dakota unit is one base unit ( plug in at your house ) will handle up to four remote sensors....and they sound off "Alert Zone 1 (or 2,3,4)" so you know EXACTLY which one is being tripped.

I've tried several different driveway alert systems, and this is the best one I've found.

Here's another vote for the Dakota alert. Mine has worked really well for several years now. Lightning will set it off, and so will horses shoes ...;)

I had some success with a sign I had made up. "Electronic surveilance in effect, smile for the camera"

Know a rancher in Southern N. Mexico On hearing shots in direction of his stock watering tank and wind mill saddled his horse and rode cross country to check on reason .
A car load of kids were shooting at the vanes of the windmill.

He visited with the kids and then asked to look at their rifle. checked the sights then shot the radiator of their car and removed the bolt and told kid who's dad owned the car to come by his ranch house to get bolt back.

said it still sitting on the mantel in living room.

Harbor Freight has a cheap driveway alarm for under 20.00. I had alot of three point equipment stolen by a renter who was known to the sheriff to be a bad guy. The law told me to take everything I did not want stolen back to town. So law enforcement is out. Flip over a drag and leave it in the lane.
