Tinkering around and came up with a solution to sticks and things getting hydro-filter or hydro fan. I know it's not a skid plate but should stop stuff from heading in the direction of the vulnerable soft stuff.

The front hooks over the front of the bracket for the mower lift arms, and the rear attachment uses the pins that hook to the mower.

Gee I wish I thought of that.

I usually just have the lovely Mrs_Bob get on a pair of heavy gloves and send her out into the brush in front of the tractor to move the debris out of the way. It seems to work well for me. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
