I have been googling for a softcab and seems that they are about 1500 - 1600.00 but seem to be designed well. Does anyone know of another softcab that would be little less money but still good quality?

Unfortunately, there's not really anything cheaper than those available that's specifically designed to fit the Bxx20 series tractors. The other option you have is to modify a cab from a different tractor to fit, which I'm sure you could probably do for less money although the overall fit might not be perfect.
I actually did a write-up on the different Bxx20 series cab options including cost as a reply to your other thread asking about cab options for the B2920, and those $1500-1600 cabs that are sold by numerous companies throughout the web (even though they're all made by the SAME manufacturer) seem to be the cheapest option out there. I'm not sure of the quality though since I've never seen one up close.
Also, if you already own a plastic or fiberglass canopy, there's another style from the same manufacturer, which costs a little less since you don't need to buy their top frame as part of the kit (but you will need to factor in the cost of the canopy if you don't already have one which ends up costing more overall.)

FYI - not cheap though....well....unless you unearth one off Craigslist.
As for build quality vs price - you wont find better - from my perspective the Curtis / Sims cabs are priced correctly.

I had a soft cab made by a company in NJ for my L39. For a soft cab, it was excellent quality. The windshield was thick acrylic and very good quality. The clear panels were good and provided decent visibility. Install/removal was a cinch. The zippers were great quality.
Really, other than the hard to swallow price tag, it was awesome. I'm strongly considering buying another for my L45.

That's the Original Tractor Cab company. I have one on my JD.I recommend upgrading to the safety glass windshield.
