Snowblower question

I have a GT2554 and have been looking for snowblower attachments for it. The Cub Cadet wed site says that a 190-341 is the blower I need. i have found a killer deal on a 190-340. I am having trouble finding out if the 340 will work on my GT2554.

the dealer first said that it would and than said that it would not. They want to sell me a new 341.

The only difference I could find is the 340 is a 40" and the 341 is a 42"

My question is has anybody got a 340 to work on the 2500 series tractors?

Have you tried calling Cub direct? Skip the dealer, get the number from the website and cut out the middle man.

The 190-340 will not work on the GT2554. The manual chute and lift control tubes/arms will not clear the GT2554 hood. Everything else on the 190-340 bolts up and will work on the GT2554. The reason I know this is...I made the mistake already. I already researched the cost in cub cadet parts to retro fit the 190-341 control tubes/arms (about 21 items/pieces) to the 190-340...about $425. The GT2554 tractor is actually a "2500" series not a "2000" series that is where I made my error. Was not cost effective for me...

Thank You for your reply, I was getting close to just buying this thing and try to get it to work. I found a 190-340 with a manual for $100 and thought it might be worth the effort, but I will wait until a decent 190-341 shows up.

I AM IN NEED OF A 190-340 SNOWBLOWER FOR MY 2185 OR AT LEAST SOME PARTS TO REPAIR MINE. IF YOU CAN'T USE IT, WOULD YOU PASS ON THE CONTACT INFO? I NEED THE SECOND STAGE AUGER. I LIVE NORTH OF PONTIAC, MI.
