My experience with a snowblower is front mount on a Kubota. The shoot is controlled by via a mechanical crank. I have never had the mechanism freeze up or ice-over.
Like one of the other guys said, WD40, PAM, or a good wax will work wonders in the wet stuff.

Thanks for the pictures Brad. Very nice setup. So on your rear axle you have two remotes. I assume there is no hose that snakes from the back to the front then? If you don't mind me asking how much did the basic blower cost?

Dave,

From what I understand, the tractor comes from the factory ready for the rear remotes. The dealer added the kit which taps into the hydraulic system.

The basic blower showed up on the invoice as $1400, but that was part of a package. Most places I checked had the blowers at around $1700 in the 49" to 54" range.
