Snow plow for 2000 series

Well, winter is just around the corner here in Michigan and so I'm thinking about a plow for my recently acquired 2186. However, prices for a new 42 inch plow for my tractor is $700 plus and that's about what I paid for the tractor with a 48 inch deck. I've searched for used ones but haven't had any luck locally. I am pretty good at metal fabricating and welding and am considering buying a used plow and adapting it. Just wondering if anyone else out there has already done this and can offer some advice and possibly pictures.

I'm not keen on fabricating but saw a couple of blades on Ebay, one new in NY, 1 used in VA. Used asking 425, New one was 463. Might be worth checking into......

I saw a 302 blade on ebayjust this week and it was new. I can't find it now, maybe it sold. Here is one on a mower, maybe they would sell just the blade.

If you are in SE Michigan there are a couple of them listed on Craigslist now. Look under Detroit metro or Flint I think.
