I had a cold motorcycle ride to work this morning 34ºF on one of the bank signs in town it felt colder in the suburbs not discounting I was going 50 miles per hour there.
I hope it isn't the last one for the winter!

How much ya bet we get another blizzard...something like Feb 2010...this Winter?

Now it's 4 to 8 inches of wet snow...wonder if I should put the chains on?
Actually, it's supposed to be in the 40's on Sunday, so most should melt pretty quickly.

Well, a little late in the reporting, but we got over a foot on Wednesday (two days ago). Lows down to about 17F on Wednesday night. It's the biggest snow storm we've had on the Front Range (at eastern foot of Rockies) here in two years. Bad part was with most of the leaves on trees still, lots of damage. I saw boughs and trunks up to 10 inches diameter broken off! Looked like a tornado had been through some areas of town.

Last winter was very very dry along the front range cities, but they had record-breaking snow in the high country - perfect for skiers. Personally, I love getting the snow down here, so I'm with the other fella who said, "Bring it on!!!" :thumbsup: When we get "upslope" conditions is when it just piles up on us. Me and the wife love it!

But I'll say that we are also blessed with the way Colorado weather "works." After a big dumper, the sun comes out, and it's back to t-shirt weather and sunshine in a few days (usually). Tomorrow, we're s'posed to be all sunny and back to 65-68F for the high... nice. :thumbsup:

I've been reading and listening to WGAL in Lancaster. They're expecting a pretty wet snow.
I reckon it'll stick, but start melting by Sunday. I'll want to get enough snow off the drive so we don't have a freeze/thaw cycle.
But..no chains yet (hope I don't regret those words!). I still want to mow once last time.

I do expect a pretty rough winter this season though...just an opinion based upon how wet this year has been.

but...I like the snow at the start of the season, it's after we get dumped with a bunch of major storms it gets old. Just like after mowing a bunch in the summer, I can't wait for the snow...

Well Saturday has greater potential for accumulation, but I'm trying to ignore it away, I'm not ready for snow yet, physically or mentally :laughing:

It's kinda crazy when you consider that even with the record snow we had last year, early winter, it didn't start til mid December :confused2:

We are going to get some, but I'm doubtful that it will stick to paved surfaces.

I think the prediction is that we won't get much this year...They also said that last year, and we got above average...so who knows.

I'm going to guess you won't need chains yet...but like I said, who knows.

Our local news...6abc. They sometimes...lets say stretch things, but weather.com is calling for the same...

Yes, it's pedal operated. There are two of them stuck together. Forward and reverse. It's called a treadle or something.
