snapper spx 150 series

Just starting to get my lawn equipment going this spring. The snapper riding mower starts with clutch engaged but when you release it, the engine stops. The safety switch seems to be at fault, I believe. If you depress the safety switch by hand, the engine continues to run with clutch pedal released. How does one bypass this switch? 4 wires lead to it. thanks sieb

Hi. Welcome. I would replace the switch rather than bi-pass it.
