Sloppy 4690 BH

I've had my B2710 for almost a year and have used the heck out of the 4690 BH that came with it. For some reason, it seems that the side to side movement has become rather sloppy. When I stop the swing to drop dirt, the boom seems to swing a little to much, side to side till it comes to a stop. I've adjusted the tension on the both bolts for the chain at the pivot point, but it still seems sloppy. Is this common? Any other adjustments I'm missing?

A couple things to check.
Is the slop coming from the BH itself or from the tractor?
Do you work the BH with the stabilizers down and most of the tractor weight on them. Do you put the loader down with most of the tractor weight on it? If your stabilizers or loader bucket arent down tight, the tractor will sway when you swing the BH. Also your 3PH lower arms should be stabilized tightly. You will get some movement through the 3PH arms if they arent tight.

It's coming from the BH. When I set the tractor up to use the BH I always drop the bucket and lift the front wheels of the ground, lock the brakes, and drop the rear stabilizers. I will check the 3PH lower arms.

When the tractor is off, the boom assembly does not sway (very little when I try to push it and this is within the tolerance the manual discusses). It looks like the play is coming from the piston assembly at the pivot point. Maybe I need to change the hydraulic fluid for the unit? Planned on doing it anyway so we'll see.
