I dont like the fact that it goes "on top" of the factory shoes....it should completely replace the factory shoes.
Plus...I'd bet the Genuine Factory Deere unit is cheaper....

I would assume that it was designed this way so the tractor could be used with tractor attachments on the front or skidsteer attachments on the front. If all you wanted to do was use skidsteer attachments , I see your point.
