Well, I am doing some research on a project to make a 3 point skidding winch. I checked out prices on a Weelenstien FX65 and decided to build my own and go Hydrualic.
I am pretty mechanically inclined, but I know relatively little about Hydrualics. I operate many things with hydraulics but I have never built anything with hydrualics.
I have a Kubota B8200HST-D which only has 19HP. It did not come with the Rear Hydraulic Outlet, so I decided to go with a PTO Hydraulic Pump and a Hydraulic Winch. I believe the Rear PTO puts our 16HP, but I don't know for sure
The PTO Hydualic Pump I am looking at will do 21GPM / 1000PSI @ 540RPM / 16HP. Now I have some research to do on hydrualic winches. Is 1000PSI enough to power a winch to get 6000 lbs line pull? IF not, I am guessing I will go with a Hydaulic PTO Pump with less GPM and more PSI to get more lline pull out of a Hydraulic Winch. I just have to figure out which PTO Pump and Winch to get and I am set.
IF anyone wants to offer any direction, I would appreciate it.
