I had a CK2610 HST for a few weeks while waiting for my CK3510SE HST, the 2610 was a great unit, and could easily do what I needed it to, I do like the options on the 3510SE, the Kioti front blower is very well made and does a fantastic job - I've owned JD and Kubota's - if I get another it will be another Kioti - as far as the tier four, no issues at all, every 30 to 35 hrs it does it's thing, most of the time I'm using it so I keep working, it goes through what it has to and light goes out - if I stop, when it's still running I simply leave it at 1800 RPM and it completes the automatic cycle - no issues - I specifically wanted the tier four, as the fumes are half what my Kubota was - and it makes a difference when you are starting it in a closed garage - if funds are not an issue I would most definitely get the 3510SE, gives you a little more power and a bunch of extra's that are nice to have - as far as the work goes, I'm sure for what your looking at the 2610 would do the job just as well as the 3510........

That's where I get confused on these types of statements. The B2601 does not seem to struggle in his videos. I rented a Kioti CS and did not like it.
"If you saw it on the internet then it must be true"

That's why I suggested renting/demoing the machine you want to buy and see for yourself what it can or can't do. Good reputable dealers will likely let you demo a machine for the weekend.

I did a lot of work with a 27hp 20hp pto tractor. Five foot tiller and mower as well as 5 foot box blade. May have to slow down ,but you can get it done.

I've been going back and forth for a long time now and am getting closer to really needing a tractor. We have a few acres of land, mostly flat, _slight gradual elevation_.

Things that I'd like to do:
  1. Front mounted snow blowing
  2. Moving compost / Dirt / Rocks around
  3. Ground rake
  4. Maybe rototilling a 100x100 patch of ground
  5. Pulling of some logs (nothing massive)

With that said, I've watch A LOT of Youtube videos, read here and spoken with dealers. Many try to push me towards a larger 35HP machine, saying to go larger than you think you need which I think is good advice, however, I do have some concerns.

GP Outdoors uses a Kubota B2601and one of the newer LX 24HP tractors; I pretty much want to do what he does and it looks like those machines handle it fine? I'm also concerned with Tier 4 issues if there are any now on the newer models.

I'm looking at the Kioti CK2610 and the CK3510se. I like the features of the SE, mainly the FEL control location and the seat... Cab has always been a dream but it's just so much more money when I could put that towards a snowblower. I live in New England.

Don't see why an 18-19 hp diesel wouldn't work. That is all I had for 6 years. My current 2025R has too much hp except for when I need it to dig our some soil. A Kubota B series 23xx would work fine. Don't recommend the BX18xx because of its hydraulic cooling fan underneath, e.g. not enough clearance. Don't know of any high clearance 18-19s now. They're rather we all waste some fuel doing our work. I'd love to have my Isuzu generator driver for 12.5 kw in a tractor.

Go with what you can afford both tractors should be fine for 2 1/2 acres.

While driving through town I saw a used, 2005 Mahindra 2615 for sale. It has 630 hours on it. From the road it appears to be in good shape. Looks like it's a 26HP tractor. I can't find too much on it but from the reviews I've read it sounds decent.

I have $10k saved up as I wanted to make my payments smaller for the new Kioti but am wondering if I should opt for this used one? It's listed for $9500 with a bucket.

I owned a Mahindra 2615 for 12 years and sold it to my BIL this past spring. It was a great tractor.

Do you know the FEL lift capacity? How is it for pulling?

I don’t remember the specs. I ran a 5 foot bush hog, 5 foot tiller, and 4 foot grapple with no problem. I used a 6 foot box blade which was a bit much with a full box of dirt because of traction not a lack of power.

The only work other than routine maintenance and batteries I did was to replace a fan belt. The 2615 was a simple well made tractor. All steel hood and fenders like a tractor should have.

Tractordata.com will have specs.

It's missing the FEL specs. :)

Thanks for the info on your use too.
