Single blade ripper

I built a single blade ripper from a car rear leaf spring and some square steel tubing. The bottom end has a forward pointed hook and the leading edge is sharpened.

On my JD2210 it will drop and dig 14" in about 6" of forward movement. It cuts roots around stumps like crazy and I can break up hard ground full of boulders for a garden by dragging back and forth the area I want to plant.
