Shibaura SD2043 Hyd problem HELP

I was brush hogging the other day and noticed fluid spewing out from under the hood. The hydraulic pump had a crack from the mounting base to end base. I replaced the pump with a new pump different design but same mounting and it worked for about an hour and has started leaking at the seam. I have a Koyker lift in the system also. Question can anyone tell me why this is doing this and what to do about it .Please Its getting expensive

Is it leaking at the gasket ?
Try some permatex gasket maker or sealer on it and let it sit overnight before using it. Also did you clean your hydraulic filter screen in the pump & replace the external filter?

Thanks and yes I cleaned the filter and it had fine pieces of metal on the magnets on the filter. The pumps seems to work part time now. It worked great before the first pump cracked. Don't know anything about hydraulics but do you have to bleed them are could their be a part time blockage?

Does it have an outside spin on-off filter ?

Check Hydraulic Fluid Level. Did you add fluid? Make sure you did not mix 2 different types of hydraulic fluid. Sounds as it is foaming and would cause the fluid to aireate and when it does... the hydraulics will not work. I bet if you drain the fluid and put in the correct fluid this will correct your problem.

The 2043 does not have a spin on filter; filter is in a canister on top of the pump. There is a bolt on top of the filter you remove to prime the pump. Fill it to the top. Make sure your tranny is full of fluid also. Sounds like low fluid to me.

Clean fluid from Atwoods no mix, and when I check it its clear no foam.

The pump is new the one I replaced had cracked. I did prime the pump before starting and had the fluid level at the proper level. Thanks Buck...Dannie
