... and even worse, the loose tail of a 2" strap just laying there. I've personally seen the result of the loose end of a 2" strap that got grabbed under a tire. The pickup truck was missing literally half it's bed afterward.

Lets take the cheap option, gas v8.
Middle trim level XLT.
I just did a price and build on the Ford site.
That truck without a single option, not one, is $78,000 plus here in Ontario Kanuckistan another 13% tax ($10140) = $88140.
Still registration fees and plates to go.
I know someone who bought a King Ranch version and his was over $135,000.
Diesel, leather, fancy wheels, off road pkg... everything.
Furthest it will go off road is the road into his cottage which is better maintained than many city streets.
