I had some weird thought that if they could have got a bunch of ships going one way toward the stuck ship and some more in the other direction, and been at the ready to pull, it might have rasied the water level, just like the tide did.

Happened today on a local road. Someone didn't measure the height of the machine on top of the trailer I guess, and it basically hit the bridge.

It's very hard to tell but it was a CAT material handling machine, just like the ones on the scrapyards.

That trailer suggests to me, that load height is a factor in their business. So wouldn't you be thinking about that all the time?

Pretty sure that's not how physics works. It's an open body of water, you'd have to raise the water level in the ocean(s).

If I move my body in the bath tub, I can raise the water level at one end. And it is a narrow Canal? Think about the wake damage boats do.
