What are the block and brick for in the 4 wheeler pic? Just in case the 4 wheeler doesn't fall off, he has a back up plan. Maybe the brick or the block will fall off instead.

I'm going to guess it wasn't secured in the hauler, rolled back, which took weight off the tongue, and that was the end of that.

I see a rollcage in that towed car, so the guy towing should have been a better driver than average. Apparently not.

I think I've mentioned it here before - i came on a similar, less serious sight on a long downhill freeway grade coming down the west side of the Sierras. Grandpa and grandma hanging upside down in their seatbelts in their Cadillac in front of a huge, upside down travel trailer still hitched up and all in a straight line where they had slid to a stop. Oops.

At least he had the brakes on!! LOL

There's really nothing wrong with that setup.....

....as long as everything goes perfectly.....

Sadly, there are a lot of people in this country who think the fact that their methods have not gotten them in trouble yet, means that their methods are just fine, and the sane people are the idiots for suggesting otherwise.

Saw this guy in a parking lot on Sat, apparently he found out the hard way that his truck didn't have the clearance to make it through Ye Olde Snow Pile...

absolutely nothing wrong with the truck,
just a lack of experience to give it enough throttle to get over the little pile there,
looks like he's barely off the blacktop, and the snow depth drops further in front,...
but who knows

here's my little mishap last november,
tried making a turning around in a farms driveway and found his drainage ditch with my front right wheel...
had landscape trailer on (empty after a delivery). easy tug out from behind, and no damage,
just sunk down to the frame!

It looked like he was high centered, the snow was very dense there. A little more speed for the first try and I agree that he would have probbaly made it through.

Keep that transmission and engine warm and it shouldn't take any time to get the high-centeredness melted away.

He was trying to 'eaze through it so he didn't damage anything'.

Driving home from work today and my dash cam came in handy. Focus on the center, just up and to the right. Look for the guy who did not secure his mattress and box spring properly. You can barely see it flip out and then they are seen in the lane a couple seconds later. It was a miracle there was no immediate accident... Can't speak to what happened afterwards during that rush hour. You can click the Youtube icon in the small video to blow it up larger. Be safe all!

I wonder if the driver sleeps well tonight.

Not this driver-> Grever, 31, said he saw the motorcyclist lose control. He pulled to the shoulder after noticing the ladder dangling. The ladder and plywood were on the work truck when he arrived in the morning. He didn't disturb them during the day, but he didn't secure them. He told police he knew there was just one bungee cord holding the ladder but couldn't find anything else to tie the load down.

A drug recognition expert with the State Patrol examined Grever and placed him in custody for driving under the influence. Documents don't explain why. He also had a suspended driver's license, which he said he was unaware of.

He is in the Kitsap County Jail with a bail of $10,000.<<<

Motorcyclist tailgating?
My experience is a lot of motorcycle riders tailgate... just natural as they know they can stop faster. Just like when I'm towing I keep more distance than usual. Regardless if he was or wasn't you can't expect to get hit by flying plywood. Ouch!
