Estimate is 8 MILLION dollars to replace the bridge. It's not a vital link around town, but the detour is several annoying miles either way if you need to cross the highway here. It was a "low" bridge at 13 feet 10 inches, with multiple warning signs preceding it.
So I've heard. Guess that was the last straw.And its been hit before....many times.

Was heading south bound at this time and our left lane was closed because of a big chunk of barrier concrete in the left lane. No traffic heading north, ambulance just heading north bound when we approached accident from north. Did not know what caused chunk of concrete to blow apart. Coming north on Saturday afternoon, had to detour around the area. Going back south on Thursday, hopefully we can get through the area without detours. Hopefully occupants were not hurt seriously. JonWell we got a fresh one near Ann Arbor on Friday evening.
