GC2300
I'm looking for factory service manuals on my GC2300. There is a place called SSB tractor that sells something they call service manuals, but I'm not really sure how they compare to the factory manuals. If they're anything like Chilton manuals for automobiles, I'm not interested. SSB claims the manual is 208 pages. How does this compare the the factory ones? What is the part number for the factory manuals if I decide to go that route?

I just found my own answer on the part numbers from a 2008 post. Still wondering about the SSB manuals though.

Get the MF manuals, they are money well spent!!

This.

These were first things I bought after I got my GC2300. Well worth the price. Check your serial number as there are a couple of revs of manuals.

I too was going to order manuals for my 1635 HST. When I go to agcopubs.com it looks like I have a number of options:
- do I get the $146 binder with service manual?
- do I get the $62/$48 parts book (print/CD) which doesn't seem to be in the binder part?
- do I get the $91/$71 service manual on it's own?
- I can't find an engine-specific manual so I'm assuming this is covered by the service/parts manual?
- should I try to source these through my dealer vs online?

Any suggestions/preferences out there? It looks like ordering the $71 service manual on CD/DVD is the cheapest option -- not sure if the binder or parts manual added any incremental value.

I'm having the same dilemma. Can anyone offer any information?

I called them. Whichever one you get I wouldn't suggest the $147.00 one. It's the same as the $91.00 one and they charge you $55.00 for just a binder to put it in. Grab a binder at Walmart or somewhere for $3.00. Pretty much what the woman I spoke with on the phone told me. I ordered this one:
