Anyone ever built a 3ph self powered log splitter. I want to be able to carry and lift the log splitter on my 3ph but don't want my tractor hydraulics to power it...essentially I could take a regular pull log splitter, cut the wheels off and set up the 3ph connections...(or leave the wheels on and just add the 3ph connections...)...thoughts?

thanks

I just got done converting mine TO tractor hydraulics however look at how I attached mine and you may be able to use that method.

I dont know what your splitter looks like but I sure could have done mine self powered but I didn't.

http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/hydraulics/221064-need-power-take-off-log.html post 67 pic one is a KK lift arms off my box blade and the cat 1 pins and QC sleeve and bolt.

I replaced them with new stuff from KK and with shipping it all came to $115 and I put my box blade back together. I used 2" x 1/4" angle and welded 12" pieces to the splitter and drilled the 3/4" holes for the cat 1 pins works slick!
