I had a nasty shock last week when the loader on my L35 (TL720) started to slowly dump the bucket on it's own and only stopped after I flicked the control lever, this kept happening so I adjusted and oiled the valve linkages, but this made no difference, it was only when I started to dismantle the controls that the problem came to light, the shaft that joins the self-leveling link to the control valve (it runs through a bearing tube behind the controls) had all but seized and required terrific force from the linkage to move it, hence the dump valve could not close properly. After quite a struggle I managed to free and remove the shaft which I cleaned, polished and greased and before reinserting it, I drilled a hole and fitted a grease nipple in the bearing tube, as there was no way to lubricate the shaft, hence the problem. It's working like a dream now, but I'd thought I'd share this with you, as it may be worth checking if you have the same loader.

Regards

Newer ones came with a grease fitting. Imagine that.
