Don't know where else to post this (or where else to ask). If it is inappropriate please remove. A tractor website is a funny place to ask, but the TBN brain trust is always so helpful!!!

A close friend of mine who runs a business selling parts for early V8 Fords has been loosing money (theft). He has alarmed his building, he lives and works in the same large building, and is still having trouble. He is know left suspecting his employees / friends / family.

He is looking for a camera:

That does not look like a camera (or can be easily hidden)
Is motion activated
Will record in the dark
Will record (wireless?) to a remote unit, preferably not a PC as the help uses the PCs.
The room to be monitored is about 10' x 15'.

Does anybody have experience or recommendations?

Thanks!

Matt

Check a place on the web called supercircuits - they carry several types of CCTV cameras that are covert and many will meet the requirements you mention.
Wireless is fairly easy, there is a lot of 900mhz ones out that will will get it through a wall and you can record it on a DVR, VCR whatever you have handy. To "see" in the dark you will need "IR". There are many different grades of IR - some let you "see" further, others admit 0 visible light, the cheaper ones sometimes "glow" a bit so be careful of that...
As for motion activated, most of the middle to higher end consumer DVRs will allow you to set zones of motions so when they are breached the DVR will record the video. Im not sure what the budget for this is going to be but each of your listed items moves the price up a decent amount.
Good luck

How about one of those Sam's Club bundles? I don'thave one, but looked at them and they seem to be pretty cheap. Of course, "cheap" may be key word.

cheers....Coffeeman

I have both IP cameras that record to a PC and the Samsung system that is recorded on a hard drive inside a monitor. Both work well and I've had great service from Ellipse CCTV and they also sell on Ebay. Good Luck
