Can someone e-mail me the information needed for disabling the seat switch?

vince.deller@comcast.net

I couldn't find anything definitive in a search.
Thank you.

I too have to question why you are wanting to know? ANd then wanting us to e-mail you instead of posting here????

A 2-wire seat switch is not rocket science:confused2: If you cannot figure out how to electronically disable it, or you cannot figure out how to physically disable it (wire, tape, hoseclamp), then I dont feel I sould be the one instructing you on how to disable the saftey device. At least withoug further clarification on your part.

That is all I am going to say.

OP - I sure _ain't_ gonna be part of yer defense team by helping you if/when you get sued for disabling a safety device that ends up hurting some one down the line... thin ice issue, yes.

OK- I was at work when I posted that & didn't have a lot of time to write a very good description of why I wanted the switch disabled. I understand the hesitance to post that information in todays litigious society.
Basically- When i hook up one of the connections to the deck wash nozzle, I have to hook it up, turn the water on, get on, start the mower, let it run for a bit, turn off mower, turn off water, move nozzle to other connection, turn on water, get on mower, let it run. then do it over again if I want to get it extra clean. No "shadowy" reasons..
I did make a wire with the proper spade connectors about 3 inches long & ran it from one connector to the other on the plug that plugs into the underside of the seat but the engine would shut off when going into reverse. Since i pull the mower into the shed & back it out, that presented a problem.
I hope I answered everyone's questions & perhaps dispelled some thoughts of my intentions and/or intelligence(or lack thereof).
Thanks

As long as the PTO switch is off and the parking brake is set you should be able to get off the mower without the engine shutting down. If it's a zero turn the steering levers need to be in outward position.

And if its a tractor, and you need to get off with the PTO still on, you can usually flip the seat up once you stand up. This will keep the tractor running. Handy for things like running a PHD.

I gess its old age, but I cant count the # of times I jumped off an didnt put the secondary in "N" an tractor shut off.
My pto will keep going if everything is in "N"
"IMO" DO NOT DISCONNECT IT.

Wish I could help you, I'm not familiar with that unit. On my Boomer, I made a pvc ring that went under the switch to fake it into thinking my skinny butt was in the seat. Why? Because I'm too darn lazy to shut the pto down EVERY time I need to get off the seat to pic up garbage or stray babies,

I can't believe how much bandwidth was wasted by paranoids and Safety Police for this one.
