Seat height on MT series UPDATED...input requested

Does anyone know if there is a seat height adjustment in the service manual for a MT347, MT357 tractor? We looked at 4 different ones this morning and the height ranged from 15-18 inches (measured it with a tape measure with it empty)...that is huge if you are tall like I am.

There are no user controls on the seat to change height, just a tension adjustment to vary the "spring" in the seat when you hit a bump.

I am thinking if you get inside the seat your might be able to loosen some bolts and adjust the up/down or worse case put some spacers in.

Anyone have any thoughts or experience with this?

so according to this parts manual, item #6 is a knob height adjustment...anyone have this on their seat?

I did a simple seat height modification.... added two
1-1/4" square tubes under the mount (4 bolts). There are not any 'real' height adjustments on the stock seats, only minor adjustments.

Well that is discouraging to hear. I wonder why they are all different heights at the dealer.

There IS some adjustment, just not "inches".... maybe
1 1/2"

Yes, there should be a knob to adjust. Maybe the "newer" models no longer have the option?

It appears either they removed the knob or changed the seat...or just had a shortage so did a production run without them.

Looked at a TYM yesterday...it has the same knob that LS shows on their parts diagram actually ON THE SEAT

Drove 2 hours tonight to confirm there is NO seat height knob on any of the LS tractors at our dealer
