Roper Hydro and 2 more Sears/roper tractors for sale
Up for sale are three Sears/Roper garden series tractors 1975 vintage for $4000 Canadian dollars.
Loader - 16Hp twin Onan hydrostatic drive tractor. I have moved countless amounts of gravel, topsoil, fixed driveways etc. The loader was originally on the spare white tractor which I operated since I was 10 (I am now 52). see pics and description), but was transferred to the existing hydro tractor in 2018. I installed a foot pedal to operate the hydrostatic drive but the original level still works and is functional. A few years ago the fuel pump died so I put a low pressure electric pump. The engine works ok, but I find I need to adjust the main jet periodically to allow the engine to run without choke or keep it from smoking. I am really familiar with Air Cooled engines and have experience with Onan engines but I am missing something important as I can’t seem to adjust it right. Yes, I have checked for air leaks, cleaned the carburetor, and even installed a working carburetor on this engine. Incidentally our second hydro Onan is doing the same thing; that tractor isn’t for sale.
The front tires are about 5 years old, rears are original since I owned it. Hours on the engine are unknown.
White parts Roper/Sears frame - This is the tractor that originally had the loader assembly installed. It is the traditional 3 speed gear drive with High/low. I have a 18hp twin onan engine and hood to go with it.
Yellow Roper/Sears tractor - this is a 16Hp Onan with the traditional 3 speed with high/low transaxle. I bought as a spare tractor. Engine did run fine when parked. My nephew wrecked the dash when he tried to get the choke cable out. Rrrrrr
I live in Sydney Nova Scotia and likely the buyer is not next door so I am willing to help with shipping as I have a trailer that can haul all three at once.
