Seafoam

Another painless victory.
I've got one of those $90 HF 800 watt 2 stroke generators, primarily rarely used for camping.

Son had borrowed it, not run it dry. Wouldn't start with fresh fuel mix. Set it aside for a few years. Dosed with Seafoam a few months ago, came around and pulled the cord every once and a while. Fired up today, smoked like it had Seafoam in it, works fine now.

It may just be a mix of snake oil, but it's a mix that works.

/edit - whoops, just looked it up, that generator I paid $90 for is now listed at $180.

Seafoam--at Victory again, I tell you, even a former non-believer like me..If you read it here..Then your favorite motor won't run right..Then you WILL TRY IT ?Unless you run a small engines parts store?? Its human nature....Really at $8.00 a can and only takes a couple ounces unless it is a big engine, it is a deal. Plus those guys who MILK the snakes, need to make a living too?

for kicks I may mix up some using the spec sheet as a rough guideline. I'll try to do some head to head tests on my next fuel related equipment failures and see what I come up with.

sure is nice just cracking open a can and using it though.. :)

I like the product. For convenience/$ I compare to buying a beer in a bar - Seafoam passes my $ test (beer ain't cheap in Canada, like many things).

Ran some through the Gen I just fixed the float on, to clean up where I didn't feel like tearing into. Gen runs great.

I dunno Soundguy..... running around buying discrete industrial chemicals...... can lead to flocks of black helicopters !!!!!

Gotta go, my tinfoil hat needs polishing !

Rgds, D.

Dump a dose of Isopropyl alcohol gas line antifreeze for fuel injected equipment in the tank instead. It's the active Ingredient that dissolves gum, goo and varnish while absorbing water.
Draining the water/condensation from the carb bowl would start a lot of engines that magic elixers have "saved".

Hi. I just got one recently. I note that it does not run smoothlly at low to mid load. Smooths out around 500W. Is yours like that? Thanks!
