Can anyone offer ideas for a SCUT that has a factory cab, (defog, wiper, etc) and a front mounted snow blower option. Perhaps in 25 to 30 HP range? Not really interested in a lawn tractor w/blower and an after market plastic type windshields. Make and model, please. Thanks for your help. Merry Christmas

I thought I remember a posting here about TYM offering a front snow blower and a cab. I googled it and found a 2013 listing from a dealer in NY for such a set up available in 23-35 hp. I also saw a Mahindra listing also on Google. I know some of the guys here have those, check the post "pictures of your snow weapons".

Do you want to mow as well? IIRC, the Kubota B3000 is the smallest CUT with a factory cab. We have a Curtis cab with a heater, wiper, etc on our BX2660 and it works well.
Kubota also has the F series front mount mowers which can be had with a cab and a snowblower, but they are significantly more expensive than a BX or B...

I also have the BX2660 with a curtis cab and blower. I am very satisfied.

I don't think there is a SCUT from any of the manufacturers with a factory cab. You'd have to install an aftermarket cab if you went with that size tractor.

The smallest CUT with a factory cab that I know is the Kubota B2650/B3350.

Thank you all for suggestions. Do the Curtis cabs have any problems fogging up/visibility in snow clearing? Can they be removed for summer use?

Having had an aftermarket cab on my previous tractor, I'd say yes.

Even my factory cab on my L4760 fogs when I first get in it. I need to run the heat on high for a while before it starts to clear up.

I have a factory cab tractor. Not a scut. But I do get some fogging up as well. Once you get good heat going and airflow most of it will dissipate. Curtis has always made a good aftermarket cab. I would prefer a curtis cab for winter and than i can take it off for summer use. But i got a deal on my tractor that i couldn't pass up. Also note, once my tractor cab is blowing heat, I turn the A/C on slightly to help with the DE-humidication process.

Eric,

If you run the A/C it will clear up the fogging as it will remove humidity.

In my truck I run the defroster/heat on high with A/C on and it clears right up.

Don't know if it's an option on your tractor

The problem with the L4760 is the size of the cab. When I first get in, I usually end up with a light coat of ice on the windows and even with both the AC and heat on it still takes some time to clear it up. The rear windows usually clear first since they have the heating element built in.

If I kept it indoors, I'm sure this would be less of a problem. However, it looks like I won't be able to get my building installed until spring now.

How about the B3000.

They can theoretically be removed, but it would be ~2 hours worth of work (especially with the heater). We pull the windshield, doors and back off of ours for the summer and mow that way.

As for fogging, ours does some, but not so much that it blocks your view. Its warm enough (once the engine is up to temperature) to plow in shirtsleeves when its in the teens and blowing like crazy.

RFB: Good looking outfit, thank you for sharing.

Thank you, it works well.

It is Kubota OEM blower on the OEM quick hitch, it uses the FEL joystick to control raisie and lower and spout rotation. It is spec'ed at 63"

The rear glass has the defrost wiring, and the A/C operating in conjunction with the heat prevents/removes any interior fogging.

It is quite powerful; more than I would have thought.

Kioti does make a 25 or so HP tractor with an optional factory cab. I dont remember the model, but they had one with a front pto mounted snowblower on my local tractor lot last year. The cab is heated, but no a/c.

gtg,

I have zero issues with "The Other Orange", its where I started looking before I first went Kubota.

I do think that A/C in a dedicated cab is really important if not mandatory. Even in winter on a sunny day it can easily become a terrarium, and the defrosting/dehumidify function of the A/C during heating really eliminates the fogging condensation issues.

Thanks, I am not sure if that is in Canada, my dealer had previously mentioned a bigger model as start of line-up with factory cabs, (40, I think). I will check back with him when next in for my DK35 TLB filter. I may be asking too much from one tractor, perhaps a separate mower and cab'd tractor would be better for total needs/wants. Sadly, budget and BOSS will have an input into my plans.

And this year in West Central Idaho how would I know. I am about to wonder if I will need to mow the lawn (not really, just no snow to speak of).

Normally by this time of year I am mid-thigh heading to hip deep.
