If your clay down there is like ours here, AND, if you have one of those box blades with a rear blade that does not rotate up when going forward, check that dead volume between the front and rear blades. Mine packs up with clay so it just floats along the surface. Clean out that clay and penetration improves a lot.

Pack or no pack, the scarfiers will help.

Thanks for all the tips. I'll be hooking up the box after I get the latest mowing done. We'll see how it goes.
