I just had a rental car for two days with the full package factory sat radio and did notice that on some of the premium package stations there were advertisements.
I understand now where some of you were coming from with the complaint of adverts.

to my knowledge none of the music channels have commercials (or at least the ones i listen to frequently).. The news, comedy, talk, and sports channels all have commercials..

With all the ads FM/AM radio has, I dont think I could go leave satellite radio though..

i'm sure they're coming. Not many seem to remember but when cable TV came out their big selling point was "No Commercials"

My new company truck has 3 months free XM, as well as a trial period of "Onstar"
Today I was driving up a woods road listening to the radio when the phone went off.
HUH?

It was was of those new recorded telemarketing calls "We have important information about your Visa or Mastercard"... I have neither. I've had the truck since Oct 10, and wouldn't know my onstar # if I had to. Yet they've already found a way to burn up my airtime.

I let my subscription expire last month and they called and offered me 12 months for $72.00 so I re upped for a year, I really do like listening to Phlash Phelps on the 60's channel in the morning it's pretty entertaing and no commercials. I have had had Xm in one form or another for about 6 years and find it hard to listem to FM, just too many commercials. MH
