SAME Mercury 85

Hi folks,Wondering if someone might know a good source for Same graveyard parts.My son recently purchased a Mercury 85 4wd and I've noticed a couple of cracks in the front support casting,no doubt from a FEL incident some time ago.We will remove it and get it repaired but,replacing it is preferable.I located one in CA.but,at$1,700 + shipping to NY my son wanted to keep looking.Hope somebody can help...thanks,Mike.

Thinking maybe this is weak link in these tractors went and looked at a 4 wheel drive same with loader recently and same part had damage to it . Tried to find bracket before considering purchase . But lot worse than just mount on this tractor it actually broke engine block bolt holes where it mounts wasnt told of this MINOR detail until drove 2 hours to see it . Good luck

You may be able to get the part from Farmtrac. They've picked up a line of Same built tractors. The name and model no. has been changed to Farmtracs. I've seen the 115 hp 4 wd. with cab on my dealers lot. He has one 95hp without cab and I think there's a 85hp there too. It looks a lot like to model you have.

If it's too weak anyways, you should consider welding your own from heavy sheetmetal.
1700 dollar is a rip-off, a local machine shop should be able to make you a stronger replacement for less....
